Documents to Arrange
Both spouses must be present in court on both hearing dates and must bring originals of the following documents.
Marriage certificate (original + 2 copies) Registered marriage certificate from SDM / marriage registrar. If unregistered, bring wedding invitation / photos / religious certificate.
Aadhaar card — both spouses (original + 2 copies each) Self-attested copies. Required for vakalatnama and verification by court.
Passport-size photographs — both spouses (4 each) Recent photographs required for court records and affidavits.
Address proof — both spouses Voter ID, utility bill, or rent agreement showing current address.
Birth certificates of children (if applicable) Required where custody and guardianship terms are included in the consent terms.
Income / salary documents (both spouses) Last 3 months' salary slips or ITR — required if alimony / maintenance is agreed or disputed.
Property documents (if property is part of settlement) Sale deed, title documents, or rental agreement for any property being transferred / vacated as part of the consent terms.
